SCHOOL
READINESS PROGRAM
In the interest in best preparing each child
with the skills to start school, Rutherford
Playtime Preschool has consulted professionals
from local primary schools, referred to the
outcome of the board of education and arranged
annual information evenings with professionals
from the school system to provide carers and
teachers with relevant and up to date information
on school readiness.
We Provide a strong focus on socialization,
literacy (pre-writing, pre reading, appreciation
and understanding of the importance and relevance
of the written word), autonomy, fostering curiosity
and a passion for learning. It is our role as
pre-school teachers to familiarise children
with experiences relating Early Years Framework
to help prepare them for the transition to School.
